A Goo-Hoarder's Storage System {Part 1: School}

I'm sure you guys are all aware of the term 'goo-hoarding', as presented by JennaMarbles- it refers to -quite literally- the hoarding of anything 'goo-ey', well-actually: makeup in general, as they are mostly emulsions (with the exception of powders- which these days, are most likely infused with some sort of 'goo' anyway...).

This is part 1 of a two-part post and I'll be focusing on the stuff I have at school in the UKs first, I wanted to clean up my drawers a bit and this is why I've decided to do this post- to show you what my updated storage system of makeup in my dorm room is ^^

Since my room in the dorm building is tiny (although it's already one of the bigger rooms, since I had quite good luck the day we did room-number-drawings), and we only have a few drawers/cupboards provided by the school, my makeup is limited to being stored in a small drawer under my table (which was probably designed for stationery)~
The top layer is where I store all my 'face' makeup, such as foundations, base/primers, bb creams, powders... etc; blushes and contour/highlight powders; along with my lip products- this layer is the one that I have tidied up a bit since I took these pictures (since I decided to tidy up the drawers further when I was packing my makeup to come back to HK)... The top drawer now has three (one for 'colored' powders, another for base makeup and another for lips) separate sections as opposed to the two shown.

As you can see- I am a huge hoarder of bb creams- lip products and anything blush related XD
You can kinda tell that these pictures were taken a while back
(in Nov) since I don't have my new 'mint blushes' and
Guerlain Perles du Dragon in there yet XD
Anyway- I basically cut up any paper boxes I receive in the mail (since I receive quite a lot >< my classmates can tell you all about that XD) and stick them into the drawer to use as separators- however, since the drawers are quite shallow, not all boxes work and therefore I have not been able to start sorting out my bottom drawer yet... T^T

Onto my next drawer...

In my second drawer I keep all my all my eye products and anything I have yet to open (eg. my Stila brushes in this photo since it was taken a while back.... I've already opened and used them as you can tell by my videos XD).

The 'stick formed' products are all on the left side of the drawer, with my gel type products (eg. gel liners, paint pots, fluidlines, cream shadows) underneath and my lashes and pigments at the back. All the rest are products with a hard box covering them (eg. unopened cosmetics and palettes).
I hope this post has given you an idea of how I store my cosmetics in a small space since a lot of your were wondering how I keep track of all my products even though I keep on moving between countries ^^

Mint-tin Blushes? {Cusotmized Blushes}

I've recently been obsessed with 'customized' things- and the idea of a new blush seemed like something perfect to do when I discovered that I actually have quite a few broken blushers.

I first started by emptying the crushed powder of the blushes into an empty mint tin (that's cleaned and sterilized of course ^^). If you want, you can create patterns on the blushes- depending on whether you want the design to grow straight through the blush, you'll need to decide on this step.

The highlighter is a mix of theBalm's Mary LouManizer and a bit of  MAC's Peachy Keen,
along with an over patterning of Maybelline's Mineral Blush in True Peach
The blush is actually my broken Body Shop Shimmer and Matte Blush with Benefit's Throb,
the effect is a really girly peach pink
If you want the design on the blush to go straight through the whole powder- you'll need to sort it into the pattern here while the powder is still dry. However if you want an 'overspray' type of design, you can add it later.

Add a few drops of toner to your powder and if you have any- a moisture spray or makeup setting spray- DO NOT mix it in with the powder if you want a pattern. If you don't, or would prefer an overspray design- feel free to.

Covering the blush with a piece of tissue paper- DO NOT push down onto the damp powder, add on the little plastic tray compartment that comes with tinned mints to keep the powder from flying.

Then, blast it for around 30 seconds with the strongest hairdryer you have on full heat!

The blush should not be completely dry yet, now is the time to add on any overspray designs you want if you desire.

After it has cooled down a bit (around 30 seconds again), blast it anytime with the hairdryer until it's completely dry. If it's still a little damp around the edges of the powder, just leave it to air dry.

And your own customized blush is done! They're super simple, and with a bit of practice, really smooth blushes can be made, if you use tins/box/containers that are cuter- they would make great gifts too! I personally find the idea of having blushes in mint tins super cute >w<

"Talk That" JiEun Inspired Makeup

I recently filmed another K-Pop inspired tutorial, and this time it's on JiEun's look in Secret's new MV for "Talk That", I'm a major Secret fangirl XD

If you haven't seen already, here is the gorgeous MV:

JiEun's look is really natural and subtle and after filming this- I've actually been donning this look quite a lot ^^

Without further ado, here's the tutorial:
Since Kpop is generally licensed and the instrumental has yet to be discovered by me- I merely changed the pitch on the song to use as bgm, I extra sorry for how my voice is in this tutorial ><

Christmas Dinner

Sooo~ On the 1st this month (December ^^), my form's little baby girl- Lynn celebrated her sweet sixteen. We also had our school Christmas Dinner and we went to the Christmas Disco as well... here are some photos from the night...

the only photo where you can see my full dress with a front view XD
My brother is now taller than me T^T
I wore a long robin's egg blue dress that was shorter at the front than the back. I'm going to have a tutorial up for my makeup that night up soon also (which I will link here as soon as it's up).

Look at what I received in my cracker! XD

with Min~~
this everybody- is the super sour lemon cheesecake >x<"
everybody but me liked it- it was just way to sour for my liking~
with Min, and YooShin ^^
After the dinner, we went to the Theatre to watch some mini-films our form made and took some pictures with each other =] Me and Ivy managed to snag Tim's secret santa gift (that ultra cute super mega fluffy and very huggable huge teddy bear) and take a photo with it~ Much to our chagrin- one of the guys had to go name that poor teddy- Hentai -.-"

do you recognize her from my last video?
It's Ivy! with.. um... Hentai *insert wince* (Tim's teddy XD)
With Tina and Bonnie~ they're both super gorg right?!?! ^^

As I said before, it was our baby girl's birthday- so of course we would have to go get cake, we got a triple chocolate cake and a tiramisu (my favorite cake ever- have you guys ever tried COVA's italian cheesecake? Heaven in a bite! ><)

The triple chocolate cake was supper rich and filling and everyone couldn't eat more than a piece, whereas we cleared the whole tiramisu XD

the cakes~ both are from Marksies (since we're low on budget,
but they're still great quality cakes!)
Our birthday girl! (she looked super pretty in this shot right!?!? Credits to me of course XD)
Since we went back to the dorms to celebrate I also took the time to change out of my dress to proper "dance-able" clothes since my dress kept on falling! I'll probably have a OOTN video for it uploaded soon which I'll link here because it was requested by a few viewers.

look at us camwhoring XD
Lynn's heel XD
woot woot~ I love wearing my thongs (flip flops to those that
don't speak Australian) in the dorm even when I'm all dressed up!
The shirt is super cute right? ^^

Peek Into: Harry Potter Leavesden Studios

Recently, I posted a video on my tour at the Harry Potter Stations. That morning, I travelled to Watford Junction from Fulham Broadway first trhough the overground train- to take the HP Studio's shuttle bus (2 pounds for a get-there and return trip XP).

I really recommend this trip to any Potterhead out there!

Here are some extra clips from the Magical Creatures Section of the tour that I didn't manage to fit in the video (because I felt like it deserved to be in a video of it's own thanks to it sheer awesomeness XD)

Light Makeup for October

Lighter makeup has been what I've been wearing so far into October, and I've uploaded two videos on the looks I generally do - one everyday look and another for... the weekends and special events?

Hope you like them ^^

Cosplay Makeup Tutorials

Sooooo- as most of your guys may know I'm a cosplayer (albeit not a super active one because of my situation), and since these were requested quite a lot, I decided to upload a few cosplay makeup tutorials....

Feast your eyes? XD

New Videos & updates

Sorry I'm been so quiet lately on my blog and basically gone... missing!

English and art course-works are taking hold of my life atm >< But anyways, I'm going to start posting on my blog again, starting with updating you guys on my new videos if you haven't seen them also ^^

In case you guys haven't heard the news yet- I have also recently become a partner!

Cue- cheering in a loner like state in my friend's room while we're chilling on our bed XD

My friends Lynn & Ivy have also recently started blogging, and if you didn't know already my friend Emma (whom you may remember from my Paris Haul) are all funding money for our Outllook Expedition to Costa Rica to help out with the local charities (in particular, families with children in need of housing, food and education), their blogs and my Youtube channel are our main sources of funding for our trip (a small part of it anyway ^^).

So... on to the new(er) videos!

I didn't realize that I hadn't updated my blog in so long XD

Remember the days when I would update my blog with each new video?

Happy ZUTARA week everybody! XD

I've accomplished many things this week including uploading new videos... trimming new wigs... decorating iPhone covers... and making an A4 sized cutout of fire-bending (in water!)

I'm signing in with a 9-koma selca selection <3

By the way guys, gonna warn you to NEVER drink any of the pictured Dragonball sodas - if you're allergic to orange juice (I found out the hard way T^T), my brother played a prank on me saying it's lemonade...

Recently, I got asked what I order the most of when it comes to sushi...
So here's my answer XD This is basically my order every time, and then I'll have other stuff, like sweet shrimp, scallops or urchin ^^

9 pieces of salmon~ nomnomnom
Do you know what it is? It's foie gras sushi XD
I also got a white iPhone case this week, the ones with the little colour cubes and I customized it also =]
My new customized Watanuki Banri iPhone case
(only one in the world~!)
I few shots of the paper-cutting process and the final product of my firebender to commemorate 2012 Zutara Week ^^

See you guys soon ;3
